A CENTRAL LOCATION TO EXPLORE THE ISLAND
Despite its nickname, “The Big Island,” as Hawaiʻi Island is referred to, can usually be driven in one day. Aloha Lani condo A208, at Casa de Emdeko is a great place to start your adventures as a base to explore the Kona Coast, with such attractions as Kealakekua Bay snorkeling, the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park, and many beautiful beaches. Head southeast to the higher elevation Volcanoes National Park, make your way to the "old Hawaii" city of Hilo. Drive-up the gorgeous Hāmākua Coast, where you can see and visit waterfalls along the way. Stop in Waimea for an open range grass-fed burger and stop at the local bakery for a treat before heading back to your condo home away from home. A great alternative is to pack one of our supplied hoodies and on your way back over Saddle Road visit the 9,000' Mauna Kea summit visitor center and watch the stars of the Milky Way shine.
